How we handle personal data on PODE.expert.
This notice explains how personal data is handled on PODE.expert. The website is operated by On Divorce Ltd, which is the data controller. You can contact us at:
On Divorce Ltd (trading as On-Divorce), Bank House, 6–8 Church Street, Adlington, Chorley, PR7 4EX · phil@on-divorce.co.uk · 01204 663 904
PODE.expert handles personal data in two situations, covered separately below: people who send an enquiry through the site, and the experts listed in the directory.
What we collect: your name and email address, and (optionally) your phone number, the expert or firm you are interested in, and the details you include in your message.
Why: to respond to your enquiry and, where appropriate, to help you find and be put in touch with a suitable Pension on Divorce Expert. Our lawful basis is your consent in submitting the form and our legitimate interest in responding to you.
What happens to it: your enquiry is stored so we have a record to follow up, and is sent by email to On-Divorce. Where relevant to your request, we may share it with the expert or firm you have asked about. We do not sell your data or use it for marketing without your consent.
How long we keep it: for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any resulting matter, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
The directory publishes professional details you have provided for the purpose of being listed — typically your name, firm, professional background and qualifications, contact details (including a business address, phone and email), fees, timescales and specialisms. Only experts who have been verified and have agreed to be listed are published. Our lawful basis is your consent and our legitimate interest in operating a professional directory.
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to object to or restrict its processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, contact us using the details above. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
